About Us

Service Description:
MAPS provides volunteer mentors who support children and young people that are referred on a one-to-one basis, meeting with them each week for up to 1 year. Mentors are positive role models supporting each young person as they need to be supported either within the school setting or out in the community.

MAPS provides an independent advocacy service for children and young people that are Looked After Children, Care Leavers or are engaged with Child Protection proceedings. An advocate supports a young person to have their voice heard by the people who make decisions about them and ensure that they are taken seriously.

MAPS works within a multi-agency context.
