Service Description:Hello and welcome to Oaklings Preschool. Choosing the right childcare for your child is one of the biggest decisions you'll make for your child. At Oaklings Preschool, we pride ourselves on providing a safe, secure and stimulating environment where every child can thrive. Our curriculum is child-centred and based on children’s interests, needs and stages of development. We believe every child is unique, and our experienced team is passionate about helping each child reach their full potential.

Whether your child is taking their very first steps into early education, needs a little extra support, or is ready for new challenges, we are here to support them to thrive. We are a small preschool which offers funded two, three and four year old spaces for up to twenty children.

We are a Local Authority run preschool, which means we are at the heart of the community, we are located at the Cheam Best Start Family Hub - Green Oak. We have a holistic approach in supporting both the children and families that attend our Preschool as part of Best Start in Life.

Our team has extensive experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), and we have an excellent track record of successfully completing Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) needs assessments. We work closely with families and professionals to ensure every child receives the support they need to thrive.

Our highly skilled team are all qualified to Level 3 in childcare, with the addition of Lead practitioner also having a level 3 certificate in Special Educational Needs. Our team includes team members trained in Paediatric First Aid. All team members complete safeguarding training every year. We are also trained in safer sleep and safer eating, so you can feel reassured that your child's wellbeing is always our highest priority.

Learning at Oaklings Preschool is exciting, engaging and full of discovery. Our carefully planned curriculum encourages children to become curious, confident and independent learners through play, exploration and hands-on experiences that spark their imagination and develop a lifelong love of learning.

We have been part of a pilot project to support strong speech, language and communication skills via Verbo an NHS Speech and Language toolkit that has now been rolled out across the borough. We are proud to be completing Maths Champion certificate and making maths fun and meaningful every day. We have also been part of the Building Stronger Foundations pilot project which has developed the Preschools knowledge of supporting children who may have experienced trauma in their early years.

We are also incredibly proud to be a preschool that is also working towards the different levels of the Health Early Years London awards which reflect our commitment to promoting children's health, wellbeing and healthy lifestyles.

Above all, Oaklings Preschool is a place where children laugh, play, explore, make friends and grow in confidence every day. We build strong partnerships with families, celebrate every achievement—big and small—and provide children with the happiest possible start to their learning journey.

We would love to welcome you to our preschool and show you why so many families choose Oaklings Preschool as the place where their child's adventure begins.
