About Us

Service Description:
" Women and Girls Network (WGN) is a free, women-only organisation that supports self-identifying women and girls in London who have experienced gender based violence, or are at risk of violence. Our overall aim is to promote, preserve and restore the mental health and well-being of women and girls, to empower them to make a total and sustainable recovery from their experiences of violence. For more information please see our website: www.wgn.org.uk Our Advice Line offers free and confidential information, advice and access to on-going support for anyone who self identifies as a woman (aged 14+) and has been affected by domestic and/or sexual violence and abuse. The Advice Line is also open for professionals to access advice and support on cases relating to gender based violence."

"Survivors can contact the advice line to refer to any Women and Girls Network services: Freephone Advice Line: 0808 801 0660. Web Chat: www.wgn.org.uk (just click on the ‘chat’ button). Both open Monday to Friday 10am-4pm and Wednesday evening between 6-9pm. Professionals can contact the advice line and we will advise on appropriate and available service options (provided by us and partners) and send the appropriate referral form (s) for professionals to complete (with survivors consent) and we will process the referrals. Family/ Friends/ Supporters of survivors can contact the advice line for support and we will advise on appropriate and available service options (provided by us and partners) but Family/ Friends/ Supporters can not refer survivors into support. the survivors either need to contact us directly or a professional working with them does. "
